Maverick Trevillian, better known online as the “6 7 Kid” or “67 Kid,” became one of the recognizable faces of Gen Alpha meme culture after a brief appearance in a 2025 basketball video went viral. Despite claims circulating online suggesting that the teenager has died, there is currently no credible confirmation of his death.
Who Is the 6 7 Kid?
Trevillian became widely recognized after appearing in a video uploaded by basketball creator Cam Wilder on March 31, 2025. In the clip, Trevillian turns toward the camera and enthusiastically shouts “6-7,” accompanied by the hand gesture that later became strongly associated with the meme. The moment was subsequently clipped, reposted and transformed into thousands of social-media edits.
The wider “6-7” phenomenon developed from rapper Skrilla’s song “Doot Doot (6 7)” and spread through TikTok, Instagram, basketball-related videos and other online communities. Trevillian’s brief appearance gave the trend a recognizable young face.
No Verified Death Announcement
A review of current public sources found no credible obituary, family announcement, law-enforcement statement or other authoritative report confirming Trevillian’s death.
Instead, current biographical sources continue to describe him as the “67 Kid.” Famous Birthdays currently lists Maverick Trevillian as a TikTok personality from Maryland, while a September 2026 profile published about him continues to discuss his online presence in the present tense.
Because Trevillian became an internet meme while still a minor, many images, parody accounts and fictionalized versions of his identity circulate online. Some of these include the “SCP-067 Kid” horror meme, which is fictional and should not be confused with a real-world death report.
